How and when can I use a Differential lock pedal. Do I have to stop the tractor or I can press the pedal while moving.

If you find yourself in a situation where one wheel is spinning and the other isn't moving, then press in the clutch and let the spinning wheel come to a complete stop. Press down on the diff lock and while holding it down release the clutch. Both rear wheels locked together now. When you are unstuck (or hopeless buried whichever comes first) press the clutch in again to come to a stop and it should release.

What Dusty3030 says. What I do - I can generally see that the tractor is starting to struggle so I stomp on the diff lock lever right then and there. As long as there isn't much difference between the speed of the two tires that works fine. If you wait until the tractor is stuck and only one tire is turning and spinning then if you try to engage the diff lock you may break something.

As far as disengaging the diff lock once it is no longer needed I find that just turning the steering wheel back and forth gently while going in a straight line removes the strain between the two tires that are locked together and the diff lock disengages by itself. Works that way both in my ancient John Deere and my new Kubota.

The diff lock pedal on my Kioti, once you get your size 12s off it, you will hear a loud snap and that is the diff lock releasing. DO NOT try to turn with the diffs locked. If you have a loader it will help you get out if you are stuck.

I have also found that when stopped and I press down on the diff lock pedal, it doesn't immediately engage. I have to ease forward (or reverse) just a bit for the pedal to fully depress. I think of it kind of like the spindle lock on an angle grinder. There are only a few engagement points, and it takes some rotation to find one, but you don't want to do it "at speed". And Looking4new is right, it is a rather loud snap when it disengages.

I have found that shifting into 4wd works much better than diff lock, assuming you have 4wd and (like me) run in 2wd except/unless you need it. On occasion I will still spin in 4wd and then diff lock always get me out of my situation. (Lots of small ups and downs on my land, easy to end up somewhat crossways with 1 front and 1 rear barely touching)

When any wheel slips and the tractor does not move / when you can not exit snow / mud / slippery fields etc - depressing the pedal engages the differential lock - RELEASING THE PEDAL disengages the differential lock - THE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SHOULD ONLY BE ENGAGED WHILE THE DRVING CLUTCH IS ENGAGED - If the lock pedal does not move when depressing it release and try again - when engaging reduce engine speed after engaging accelerate - make sure that you wheels are straight - the drive is locked turning can and will do damage -
