diggin my first cub !!

hello to everyone at TBN,
iam new to the forum and am the owner of my first cub cadet, a 2155 lawn tractor 42" deck, 15hp kohler. and iam really starting to dig it.
my old lawn tractor (jd 110) took a dump early season and ive been shopping around for about two, two and a half weeks or so , one afternoon i stopped into a dealer and put 60 bucks down on a tractor (sight unseen) on a trade-in the guy said i'll sell to ya for 500. i was sure expecting a fixer'upper. well i was shocked when i saw this thing, it's nicer than anything i ever owned before. and even my neighbor came out and said how cool it was and how nice it cuts grass. i've been looking at this forum and have enjoyed reading some of your threads. thanks, some of my questions were already answered.

Welcome aboard! You got a deal on a great machine. Any idea on the model year or hours on it?

hey joel,
not sure of the year, my guess is '96 to'98. there is a manufacurer number on the front left frame but i can't make sense of it. when i picked the little fellow up it had 525hrs. i put 4hrs. on it so far.

Very good guess on the years, they were built 1996-1999. Nice little tractors.

You can't beat the Kohler singles either. Lots of room under the hood, better for cooling purposes and maintenance. Plus they run forever. You might want to dump the transaxle oil and toss a new filter on it. If fact, that's one of my plans for tomorrow. Grab a new Carquest 85410 (Wix hydraulic filter) and top up the trans.
