I wish to build a stout digging bucket for my JD 410 loader. The bucket that came with it is the 61 inch wide one, and so it is far too large for dirt digging. I thought if I built a 48 inch bucket, and added about five of those digging teeth to the front edge, I'd have a "poor man's backhoe" sort of. At least it would be sized better for heavy work, and the teeth would get it started into the ground. Sound logical?
Where do you guys buy the teeth? I think I want weld on ones with replaceable tips, pinned on. That sound right? Or is there a bolt-on version? I have full cutting and welding capability, so no hurdle there. THANKS!!!! for ideas and suggestions, and source names for those teeth.
