Oil & Fuel Dirty buy....

Hi Guys, I just bought a new forest trailer with loading arm. Not so new, and full of dirty oil from an old machine (demonstrated?). My question is how do I replace the oil without contaminating my new tractor? I guess I could pump all cylinders, with the return going to a bucket, then reverse the leads, and pump the cylinders closed. Then top up the tractor oil with new. Another idea would be to have an inline filter on the return to tractor. Any ideas?

The oil will be delivered directly back to tank.

It will then be filtered prior to its entering the pumps.

what you should be more worried about is if it is compatable

with the UDT or SUDT.


If you have dual remotes you will not be able to add a second filter as the

flow will go in two directions and the filter will explode.

Point the return line into a big bucket instead of plumbing it back to the valve. Connect the supply and operate the hydraulics until you see the fluid change. If you're lucky it will be a really different color, but I'd try to estimate how much you think you need to remove so you don't go too far. Then top up the tank on your tractor. I did this when I hooked up the neighbors fence pounder. He has a funny looking green tractor, so I kept his oil and gave it back to him when I returned the pounder. Then he hooked it up on the funny green tractor and gave me back my oil.
