Hello All. Looking to upgrade my current haybine with a faster discbine. Just looking for opinions on which brands seem to do a better job/less breakdowns. I'm in northern Wisconsin and John Deere and New Holland are the most popular and most easily serviceable...although, Agco, New Idea, Hesston and Case are around too. Dont really have a care either way about rollers or flails. Use a John Deere 4020(90-95hp) to cut with so probably use a 9-11 ft model in the 3-5 year old price range($10-15K) I appreciate any input and wish everyone a prosperous year. Thanks.

You list 6 different brands, but there are only three manuafacturers among them, New Holland (CNH) Hesston (AGCO), and Deere. All make excellent machines. In a used discbine, condition and dealer support will matter far more than brand. Given the uncertainties and potential high repair expense in buying a used machine, knowing some history on a particular unit has significant value, as do those with a modular bar design.
