Rotary Cutter Ditch Bank Rotary Cutter ?

Does anyone know if someone makes a light duty ditch bank rotary cutter (or similar) for compact utility tractors (30HP range)? This one from Woods is rated for 40-90HP tractors and requires a Cat II hitch.

I have about 600' of private road on an old railroad bed with banks on either side and it is overgrown. What else could I use for this?

Also, what is the difference between a Cat I and Cat II 3pt hitch?

Go to the bottom this page for a good explaination of the Cat 1 and 2 differences. Can't help you with a cutter cept I use my rotary and back up to my ditches, takes a while but works.

I have a friend that attached and Agri 38 inch cutter on the side of a carry all frame. he mad his pivot the 2 lift pins and used a 90 degree box off his old cotton picke to transfer the power. The top ling is hooked to and winch that allows him adjustment to the bank slope. He used mostly new stuff so his rig is a bit expensive. Im makeing one from a five foot cutter that will do the road sholders here before the county can do them.

Good choice. This mower is available from 5-6 MFG. They all do the same thing and have 24"-40" flail cutting heads.

That's an interesting concept. How well do they work, and how much does one of them micro-mowers cost? I didn't find any price information on the web site.

Ditto what Kelvin asked. I'm curious about the cost.

What is the ballpark cost on one of the 128H micro-mowers with FL40 or HD36B head?

What is a ballpark cost on the VMC RD-160 Ditch Bank Mower and VMC RB110 Utility Boom Mower.

Are these things only good for grass or can they handle heavier brush, small trees, etc.?

That one is pretty cool too. However, it always makes me nervous when there is no price posted. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif or even a ballpark price. Perhaps it is one of those "if you have to ask the price you can't afford it" situations.
The one site said it would pay for itself in 180 hours. That kind of depends on the rate you charge per hour.
