I looked at the price of attachments for my machine and decided to build a few of my own. I have built a receiver plate, mini backhoe and am working on forks.

The channel forks are just gusseted right now but, I plan on reinforcing them similar to the idea mentioned above by boxing them in. So far they seem to hold quite a bit of weight without too much flex. I have been using my old lincon electric ac/ dc arc for my projects, it takes a little more time than a mig but has produced reasonable results.

You did a nice job making your forks. Here's a set I made for my old tractor, and they held 1000 lbs of logs with no problem. I'm sure yours will serve you well.
