With an old Massey-Ferguson (MF37 the French adapted version of MF35x) tractor from 1963 and machinery we repaired ourselves bought and given to us by local neighbours, this is how we did our own haymaking in Southern France begin 2002 in the Corrèze and for years to come!
Until in 2008 proffesional farmers around us offered to do it for us. We saved us from this backbreaking work and shared the production 50/50 with them.
Here's some more "fun with tractors"
Especially that tractor without engine in the front, keeps amazing me until today.
We dealt with the stress of getting hay in before rain falls, repaired old machines in the scorching heat, felt just a little of what farmers feel every day. Respect for this exhausting lifestyle I give them.
