Hello all,
Anybody run a DK10 series? I just put a down payment on a DK5010 and I am trying to find out if it is a natural aspiration or turbo motor.
I see in one spec sheet it show Natural, but when you download the PDF file of the spec sheet, it shows turbo.
What do you prefer? Turbo or Natural?
How do you like your tractor? Thanks all!

The DK 5010 is turbocharged. I bought mine 2 weeks ago and haven't used it much yet. So far the things I have used it for it has done effortlessly.

Thanks for the reply! I will take delivery of a 5510 on Friday. I decided to spend the extra 1000 bucks and go with the 55HP.

Awesome choice. Welcome

Yeah these new Kioti machines are real nice. I have the non-turbo CK model from last year, can anyone shed any light on the engine difference? They still have the same HP ratings as the normal aspirated motors.

The engine difference between what and what? The CK3510 is still naturally aspirated based on the Kioti website. The OP is talking about he DK10 series which seems to be the evolution of the older DS series which had larger displacement naturally aspirated engines compared to the smaller turbo engines of the Dk10 series.

I have the older 2.2 liter engine in the DS4510HS and love it because the torque is just about constant from idle to it's peak at 1700 RPM, then falls off as the RPM gets higher.

Question: for those of you with the new 1.8L turbo engine, what is the torque curve like. Does it have as much torque at idle as higher RPMs or do you have to rev it up at little (like to 1500 RPM) for the turbo to spool up enough to get close to peak torque.

Good choice going to 55hp. I wish I had 10 more hp for pulling the 7,000 pound Halloween hay ride up steep hills in soft ground!

Sorry I should have edited for brevity :)
But seriously not to go off on a tangent, I was merely referencing this thread about the new CK2610:
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-buying-pricing/352126-have-you-seen-new-ck2610.html

And when looking at the spec sheet that the OP of that thread posted, I noticed that the CK3510 and 4010 were spec'd as now Turbo-Diesel CRDI.

Same displacement as my 35hp, but with a Turbo-charger. Same HP rating, how do these motors compare? torque wise, maybe more fuel efficient?

Turbo motors usually perform at peaks in any altitudes mountains or not. They work in cold or heat. They may be smaller displacement with the same or more hp and have torque curves starting at lower rpms and going flatter through the rpm range.
Plus, turbos are awesome! I wish I could hear mine spooling up. It's almost free power.
