DK 35 Hyd Hose Burst - Supply to FEL Control Valve.

Always seems to happen after the Kioti shop is closed.

The hose to the loader control valve (4way joy stick) burst this afternoon. Looks to have been chaffing at the bend upward from bottom of the tractor going up to the control valve. I shut off the engine after raising the bucket and rear stabilizers off the ground, then I pinned the boom up. Towed the tractor to a flat, dry spot so it should be easier to change the hose on Monday afternoon. My system uses three hoses between the control valve and a device under the right hand floor board, I do not know what it is. Of course, the hose fittings are different than all other hoses on the loader, I have a complete set of spare hoses for the loader cylinders from the joy stick. I considered swapping hoses to get the machine home (I am 2kms down my bush road), but not sure what the other hoses do, when they are energized, (return, pressure relief, etc). Decided to walk home, get a new hose (and a spare) on Monday, ask my dealer for info and then fix my machine and be a bit wiser too.

Quick trip to NAPA with the old hose should fix you up.

Anyone recognize this? This is the device, located under the right hand floor board, that my burst hose went to. Not sure what it does. In fact, there are three hoses running to/from the this to the control valve. There is an " IN ", there is an " OUT " and one with either no markings or an " AF2 " stamped on the control valve body. Anybody recognize the device? Any info would be appreciated. Thank You.

The service manual for my Bobcat CT335 shows a similar looking valve. Bobcat refers to it as a pressure relief
valve.

Thank You. So far, heard it called a Priority Valve as well as a Relief Valve but both of these look very similar though orientated slightly different. Much appreciated. Bob

My parts manual only list it as a hydraulic block assembly.
What ever you want to call it, mine has quick couplers on it and my backhoe hoses plug into the thing.

If your pump connects to it, it could be a hyd block which will route the hyd fluid to various places.

Could also be a priority valve to feed steering and the loader valve.

Thanks, again. Mine has threaded couplers at block and control end though one is a swivel connector. There is a "screw" with a label to indicate that if turned horizontal, permits flow in one direction and an alternate path if turned vertical. Not completely readable anymore but can see PTO and aux on the label.

That valve is a control valve to route the hyd fluid to wheee it is needed.

For 3pt only, use the horizontal position,

If you have attachments, use the vertical position.

I have a similar valve on my Kubota.

I see at least three ports, probably one for pressure, one for return/tank, and one for PB.

Does your BH have two or three hoses?

OUT is pump flow to IN port on the BH

IN port could be PB or return/out from the BH.

Some BH do not have PB.

Your manual should dhow more or your BH manual should show more.

If you are not using the BH, then cap off the fittings and turn the screw to horizontal for 3pt use.

Thank You, J_J, I am not too sure about the set-up you describe as my BH runs off of my remotes and while it is connected, the 3 pth will work (raise and lower arms) if remote control lever shifted. My remotes are controlled by a lever, "A", "N" and "B", On the valve in the picture (above), all three hoses go to/from the FEL control valve (4 way, one lever Joy Stick), I have to say the Kioti manuals are not real helpful. It has now stopped raining here so hope to go into bush after work and replace the hoses, drive it home to my shop where I will take my time in tracing out the pipework. (kinda reminds me of my early days aboard O Boats). Bob
