I have a DK 45 w/cab would like to know what you are running for a backhoe,3PT ,frame mounted,tractor pump-PTO pump does anybody make one w/ closed HYD system , HYD thumb?

Woods 90X with hydraulic thumb the subframe needs to be modified to fit the cab tractor.
It also runs the hydraulics from the tractor.
A closed hydraulic system is a PTO pump which you can get on the Woods also.

I have the BH90X on my DK40se. Great BH.
Hydraulic thumb is spendy but better than the mechanical if you need one. If you are doing things like carefully placing rocks with the thumb do it. If you are just picking up stuff like stumps or shallow rocks then I'd suggest spending the same money on a grapple instead.

I have the BH90X with a mechanical thumb on my DK45. Quite a powerful backhoe for its size, as its specs defeat almost all other hoes hands-down. I find once you figure out the thumb settings for various tasks, it's efficient. I've used many excavators with hydraulic thumbs, and prefer hydraulic thumbs and CAT controls (the BH90X is Deere controls - Left = boom, Right = dipper). I quickly got used to the Deere controls and am really glad I have a thumb.

Another for the Woods BH90X with sub-frame kit, here's mine on my DK45s.

Hi Ken,
You will want to go with a sub-frame mount for that tractor. As you get into the larger size backhoes with larger cylinders and a longer reach, the leverage increases dramatically putting a lot more stress on the machine.
The subframe mounts in several places and distributes that pressure over the whole tractor.
The ne Kioti KB2485 backhoe is taylor made for that tractor and works extremely well and trouble-free. The specs are good also with a reach of over 11 feet from the swing pivot.
Compare all the specs and the working pressures to keep the playing field level and then do pricing. I don't have a single customer that is unhappy with the new 24 series backhoes.
That tractor has plenty of hydraulic ability to run any of these backhoes and you save a good chunk of money by not buying a pump kit.

Mine came with the KB2485 which has a subframe mount. It is driven by the rear remotes on my DK45sC. Very nice backhoe. We have a ( mid 1990's) Woods on the old JD and the Kioti model is worlds away more sensitive, smoother and less tiring to use. The Woods is older, smaller and runs via aftermarket John Deere hydraulic system, so not really a side by side compro.
