DK 55 joy stick funky

Seems that the joy stick for the fel is a bit funky. After a couple times of this occurance I called the dealer. Once is a while The joystick gets kind of lost and out of wack. I have been plowing snow and when I go to raisae the loader there is not response and the joystick just kind of rattles around for a bit until it finds some reststance. Dealer came right over and of course the problem was never felt when they were here. Any body have a possessed joy stick ?

No, I don't have that problem, but it may be due to extreme cold. When the dealer came to check it out, did you run it through much the same paces as you did when you had the problem? Hydro fluid just doesn't do as well unless it's good and warm. Make sure you're warming up the tractor a good 15 minutes before you begin to operate. Ensure that the hydro level is between the marks on the stick as well. I have a feeling that the hydro filter can get pretty cold, bringing down the fluid temperature and casuing some of this to happen, if one is working in high snow piles.
I'm not sure, but maybe insulating the filter with a wrap like pipe insulation may help to reduce the incidence.
Just some thoughts that I'm not sure are valid. John

Thanks KIOTJOHN but the problem is mechanical in the joy stick, not fluid or filter. The joystck seems like it gets lost in float mode and after giggling it for a bit I can get it to catcht to resume normal behavior.

I have a unit here right now it has a floppy stick. If you pull the rubber up on the stick you will see 3 post that ride in the joystick yoke. These post have a plastic ball on them that fit into the yoke. Those balls will come all the way off or part way or if someone has bull dogged the stick the thin part of the stem will bend.

Or it may be a ut of adjust cable away nothin major .

my 45c did this with about 15hrs on the clock. first i lost float then down.

i took the joystick apart and found the push pull cable fitting unscrewed. i locktited it and put it back together. within the next 10 hrs or so the other cable did the same thing.

if your joystick controls the valves with cables, take the joystick apart and check where the push-pull cables connect to the joystick.
