Kioti offers optional equipment for the DK35 and, although I don't think I need them now, I want to make sure I won't be kicking myself in the future.

The attachments I will initially get are FEL, rough cut mower and box blade. I don't think I'll need anything else.

One option is a mid PTO. If this is just for a under mounted mower, I've read enough that I don't think this would be good for me. Is this just for a mower?

How about 2nd remote hydraulic valve? What sort of attachment would require this? Also, I haven't even inquired on the price. Maybe it's so cheap one should just go ahead and get it?

Thanks for any help.

I have yet to see any other need for a mid-pto besides a mid mount mower. The 2nd set of hydraulic valves are usually mounted at the rear for a backhoe.

I would at least get the 2nd set of valves, those are a pain to install afterwards. Also, for the money the mid PTO is probably worth having if not just for resale value.

I don't see any need for a mid PTO on the DK series. I cannot imagine anyone would put a MMM on a tractor that big. A second set of hydraulic remotes is a different matter. They will cost you under $400 for another set and the second set comes with a controller that doesn't lock into position which is nice for implements like a grapple. Having a second set would allow you to run a hydraulic top and tilt which might be useful with the boxblade for grading etc. A second set would also allow you to run a backhoe and control a grapple at the same time.

The DK35se is a very nice tractor, I have the slightly larger sibling the DK40se. Honestly the 35 would have done everything I needed in terms of power and features except for one thing: the KL351 loader is no where near as powerful as the KL401 loader that fits only on the DK40se and 45se. The upcharge from the 35se to the 40se was not a lot so from my perspective and intended use (largely loader intensive), the DK40se with KL401 was the sweet spot in the new DK series.

You might need a mid mount pto if you were going to use a front mount snowblower.

All the PTO driven snowblowers I have seen run a driveshaft back to the rear PTO which is geared to a lower 540RPM. The mid PTO at 1000 or 2000 rpms is probably geared to high for a snowblower.

No on the mid PTO, yes on the remotes. You want 2 pairs so a total of 4 plugs on the rear. This will allow top and tilt. I wish I had the remotes, never missed the midpto which will reduce ground clearance in the rear.

I have the mid PTO on my DK 35 and have never used it in 6 years of ownership.
I use my DK for mowing, but run a 3 point rear finish mower and never needed the mid PTO.

I have the 2 sets of rear remotes. These are used often with my hydraulic top link and tilt cylinders. ( Once you use a hydraulic top link you will never want to be without one again)
