Hi all,

I've been considering a new tractor, and so far my favorite choice appears to be a Kioti DK35SE. I stopped by the local dealer today (who had already failed to respond to my e-mail request for a quote a few weeks back) and took a first hand look at one, then went inside to inquire further about it. The one on the lot is already equipped with a FEL. These guys didn't act very interested in talking to me-I was a little dirty from being out on a job site, but I'd think they'd be used to that. Anyway, they quoted me $17,900 for the tractor including the FEL, then said if I paid cash it'd knock off $800. Then they said, no, it'd take off $1000. When I got back to my computer, looks like the amount off should actually be more like $1200. I'm starting to wonder if these guys even care whether or not they make a sale. Does this sound like a good deal for this tractor? Anything special I should know about this particular model? Problems?

Thanks!

I would find a different dealer ASAP.A good dealer with good service seals the deal with me when I buy something this expensive. For your information I bought 2008 Kioti DK40SE with FEL last year for $18,000,that was a $1000 kioti rebate included.coobie

Price sounds OK to me.
Thats around what I was quoted for a DK 35SE gear last summer in Western, Pa.
No issues with this model that I am aware of.
A friend of mine purchased a DK 35SE HST last year. He really likes it.

I bought my DK35 HSE (with FEL) last spring and paid $19,100 including taxes with 0% for two years. I love it and am so glad I did not get the CK model. You are making a good choice, but find a new dealer. I am not sure I am happy with mine dealer and wish I would have picked a different one. Still might, but it's not the same.

I was thinking of contacting Little Tractor in Metropolis, IL-it shows on the dealer locator to be about 87 miles from me. I would kinda hate to go that far, especially since the dealer I talked to is only about 7 or 8 miles away from, but if that's what it takes to get a good deal and good treatment, that's maybe what I need to do. I've read a lot of good things about Little on here.

Well, I did it-my wife and I drove the 2 hours to Metropolis early Saturday morning, and ended up buying a DK40SE (after James told me of the difference in capacity of the loaders of the 2 tractors, it just made more sense to get the 40). Everybody there made it a very pleasant experience, right up to and including the delivery guy. I love the tractor so far, except for a little problem I'm having with the hi-medium-low range selector. To show you what kind of service they give, they're coming early tomorrow (driving 2 hours each way) to pick up the tractor, take it back to their shop, adjust the selector, and bring it back to me. Echoing others on this forum, if you're going to buy a Kioti and you're anywhere decently close to Little Tractor, James is the man to see about a tractor. :D

Congrats and Welcome to the Pack!

We are looking forward to some dirty pics!

By dirty pics, I mean the tractor covered in mud, dirt, snow, etc... :D

Yep. The KL401 is basically the reason to strongly consider the DK40se over the DK35se. For less loader intensive work, the DK35se has just about the same horsepower (38 vs 40) but for loader work the KL401 is almost twice as powerful as the KL351. As I recall the difference in price is pretty small too between the two setups as the loaders are almost the same price.

The DK40se does have a larger rear axle and tires and rides a bit higher as a result so someone who doesn't want that extra size and doesn't need the extra loader capacity might want the DK35se.
