So I picked up an old HD box blade this weekend. I am pretty sure its an older Land Pride MR3584 which specs say weighs 1117lbs. So that's roughly half of what the 3pth is rated for but is by far the heaviest implement I've lifted.
How careful do I have to be when driving around with the box blade on? It seems that the shaft the lift arms attach allow a bit more twist than I would've expected if I start bouncing the scraper up and down by hand when its lifted. Is this part of the design? I see in the service manual the schematic has a part called the "shock absorber". Maybe its doing its job?
Anyways, the scraper works pretty well both as FEL ballast and in use so far but I've just torn up parts of the driveway to test it out.
