Is it bad form to ask what others paid for their machines? I am just trying to get a good idea what to expect. I am looking for a DK40HST with a FEL and ag tires. I have been looking at the "other" orange tractor and have found a good price on a L3700, but I keep coming back to look at the Kioti and hear such good things about the value. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks!

Hi,
Good luck in your search. The only trouble you will run into is the different times that the members purchased their tractors. This will reflect a whole lot of confusion because of the programs in effect when they purchased their units. They can be different by thousands of dollars when you consider rebates, free loaders and O% financing or any combination of the above.
Some dealers include services like loaded tires, bkt hooks, first service and much more. A lot of these things don't come out when you just ask how much someone paid.
Asking is not a problem, getting info you can use may be a little harder to come by.

I would suggest to get a couple of quotes from local dealers that you like and would feel comfortable buying from. Try to get a price that you are happy paying and the dealer is happy to sell at. It may help to include any attachments at the same time. I live in Canada and paid $30,000 for my DK40 HST with cab last summer. Probally doesn't help you much. Building a good relationship with your local dealer will return much more down the road than saving a couple hundred bucks from a dealer that will never see you again. Just my two cents worth. I am totally happy with my purchase. The Dk40 is an awesome machine. Good luck with your purchase.

DK40se/hst is THE machine. Had a DK-35se/hst and sold it to go up to DK40 within a year and 325 hours of use. Nothing wrong with the DK-35, great machine too; just needed more bucket capacity and had the opportunity and $ to upgrade.
Kubota is a good company too, most of my neighbors have various Kubotas, but they do hobbyfarm type things and use is infrequent. I use my DK40 for rugged use, building a garage for my flip house, moving huge piles of snow- never ending it seems this year, digging culverts/ditches with my KB2485 Kioti backhoe, etc.
Wish I could tell you what exactly I paid, but like already stated I did a trade, there was a free loader and rebate involved, etc.
Whatever you pay, and hopefully it will be as little as possible, you will not be disappointed with the results of your purchase.
Good luck, let us know what you end up buying. Show pics too!:D

just purchased a dk40hst in new hampshire . after kiotis free bucket promo i paid 21,500 with 6.24 financing for 72 months.i had the tires loaded for 200 and got free delivery. thats about 6000.00 dollars cheaper then the other orange tractor and i got a lot more for my money such as mid pto, rear hydro, bigger bucket and more power and weight witch translates into more traction good luck

Congrats. Looks like you got a pretty good deal there.
I purchased my DK35se for about $2k less, 2 yrs ago. I couldn't find a DK40 for less than $22k. :(

$2k for a few more HP, MUCH larger loader, seems like a no brainer!
Enjoy

Hey gris,

Just in time for the snow to go away ??? !!!! You are going to love that bad boy!

I'm like a broken record on this one but plan on adding more lights, and unless you are running a backhoe off of the rear remotes ... take the detent balls out (3 smaller balls, one larger ball, and one spring).

Careful pulling it off of the trailer ... my first time off the trailer; the tractor weight lifted the rear wheels of the pickup off of the ground and I went for a 10-12 foot "ride".

And of coarse .. post pic's

Tractor on!

I'm in Central Maine and got a price of 27,000 on DK40SE HST. That is with R1 or R4 loaded tires, block heater, and delivered. It is also a cash price.
