Can anyone tell me what the upgrades were to this tractor?
I now own a 2012 DK40SE ,
Is there anything I should be aware of ?
I saw their were injector problems in the earlier years, anything on this model I should be aware of ?

The ignition switches gave some problems especially ones left out in the rain. The throttle friction plates can get a bit hard to operate and sometimes require lube. I had a thread on how to take apart the "clamshell" and lube the throttle friction plates, and how to get at the ignition switch. Mine has never been replaced, but I lubed it up and it stays in the dry.

The three relays on the firewall, have given many trouble. The starter solenoid relay, the fuel solenoid relay and the heavier duty rated glow plug relay. I have never replaced any of mine, but many guys have had to. Buy them at the auto parts store not at the kioti dealer as they are just ordinary automotive type relays. The only thing to watch out for is the 70 amp rated glow plug relay. Some have noted the wrong harness plugged into the wrong relay. That may be related to some of these failures. Overall these tractor's are relativity trouble free, only minor things like these switches and relays.

Consider yourself a lucky guy! You have a fully optioned out tractor without all the new epa crap.

Yes.
My throttle on the steering column is very stiff, to the point I have to give it a good bump , to get it to move.
I will look for your thread on fixing that issue.

Will keep that in mind about the firewall relays.

Changing oil to Rotella T6 5w-40 as soon as my filters arrive.

Anything special on priming the fuel lines when changing fuel filters I should be aware of ?

I did read procedure in owners manual.

If you fill the fuel bowl with diesel and carefully put in back on when changing the fuel filter you will not have to bleed. I have never had to bleed the fuel lines.

Here is the old thread I started on taking apart the clamshell to get to the throttle/switches etc...

the upper steering column bearing. Just under that same clamshell K0ua is talking about. it is prone to gathering a puddle of water on top of it when the tractor sits out in the rain a lot. And will quickly wash the grease out of that bearing. Just need to get in there and put a mound of grease on top to keep the water out. Def a tractor whos dash/console area likes to be dry.

I own 2 of the dk45se tractors, and they both have been excellent. One has always been stored indoors, the other has spent 5 years outdoors. it has been interesting to watch the differences.

I need a new power steering cylinder guard on the left front, but for the life of me, I cannot find it in the parts diagrams, anybody know where these are on the parts diagrams ?
