Part of the price of a DK45 depends on what part of the country your in . Some areas just have better prices . I saved $8000 dollars by driving to Texas to get my DK45 over what the local dealer here in Northern Calif. wanted . We are talking the same exact tractor !!! I knew I was gettig hosed and the local guy dared me to find a better price . That was a big mistake on his part . I was going to Texas anyway so the decision was easy to just pick one up while I was there . That was one year ago .Service is very important in considering the final price ,but I know more what my Kioti than the local dealer and do my own repairs! I paid $24,500 for a TLB set up with a 72" box blade, dual remotes, sun shade ,R-4 tires ,and grill guard . You can proably take off about $5500 - $6000 if you don't want a backhoe . My nieghbor went out and got the same tractor deal in June of this past year and he picked his new tractor up in Oregan . I've owned both Kubota and now Kioti and you won't be sorry getting a DK45 ! They are unbelievable .

I forgot to ask . Is there a special reason why you are going with the R1 tires over the R4 ? I find the R4 to be a better "all around" tire for multible use . I always felt the R1's were more of a farming tire . I also like the wider R4 footprint .

I figure the R1 tires will go better in mud. I pasture feed round bails of hay in the winter, and the ability to go in the mud is one of the primary reasons for going with a 4X4.
Does the wider footprint of the R4 add stability to the tractor? How well would they go in mud?

For Mud the R1 tire is better. The R4 will load up.

You might also want to look at your local Cub Cadet dealership for a price. Kioti's DK45 is also sold as the Cub Cadet 8454. They are the same tractor, just different paint. In some areas, Cub dealers will be priced lower than the Kioti guys, in other areas Kioti is going to be lower. In any case, you can keep your dealer "honest" by pointing out the competition sells the same tractor. Sometimes knowledge is a very powerful negotiating point.

Thanks!! I didn't realize the Cub Cadets went that large. The Kioti dealer is about an hour and a half or so away, but I can be at a Cub Cadet dealer in about 45 minutes. That dealer also sells Masseys, so that gives two brands from that dealer to investigate.

I've seen prices for the DK45 with FEL AND backhoe from between $24,500 and $26,000. Take of maybe $4500-$5200 for the backhoe and that should give you an idea.
