Hi all, as you may remember, I just bought the tractor a few weeks ago with a Woods backhoe on it. So I never thoght of operating the lift arms because I thought the hoe might be in the way or something? Anyway, today I took the backhoe off for the first time and tried to hook-up a bushhog. AND I'LL BE DANGED if I cant get the arms to move, lift or anything! I had it installed new with dual remotes so maybe something wasn't put back right at the dealer?
I overviewed the manual and I cant seem to get anywhere?
1 PTO button is off as well as switch on dash in nuetral 2. all 3 gear shifts are in nuetral (i'm possitive). Engine at low idle and parking brake engaged. I've tried everything I know and i'll call the dealer as soon as he opens. Just wondering if you folks have any ideas I can try in the meantime Thanks Tom

Backhoes on compact tractors normally have two hoses that connect the BH hydraulics to the tractor. When the BH is detached, the two hoses have to be connected. I am sure that your model is the same. Did you connect the two hoses?

Dirtcutter had the same problem, it was a valve that has to be turned when the BH is removed. I don't have a BH, but on Dirtcutters it was near the Hydro filter and he needed a wrench or something to turn it. This valve diverts the hydro oil from the 3pt to the BH because both do not operate at the same time. Go back 4 pages and look for Dirtcutters post "box scraper problem".

You say you have remotes installed. Make sure you have not left one of the remote levers engaged. When they are engaged they disable the 3pt arms.

It seems that he uses the remotes to power the BH and not the hose kit with the valve that needs to be turned to get the 3pt to work. I use to have the hose kit valve and changed to dual remotes. Easier and more useful with the remotes. Thanks Rick.
As mentioned, center the control levers of both remotes. The one remote, second or outer valve, should have a float function. If it's in float, it works like a bypass and wouldn't let any pressure go to the 3pt. My CK30hst doesn't have it but check your draft control which I think you have. A lesson learned from a friends tractor. No need to worry about connecting any hoses with the remotes and having both centered.
