Greetings,

Just wanted to report some long term test results on 3 Kioti tractors that we operate at the golf course. I have maintained these the last three years, any prior results were from the previous mechanic so I have really no knowledge how or why the items failed. All routine service was excluded from findings and done according to manufacturers specs. Tire replacement is not included.

Purchased new 2008

314 hrs PTO switch replaced
497 PTO rear end rebuilt
584 Repaired Hydraulic joystick

1856 Replaced front loader cables and joystick
2077 Replaced oil pan

Yup, we are hard on equipment, run them a lot and put them through their paces. Many operators over the years not just a single operator on a hobby farm. Machines will break because they are machines. Some machines have better quality than others and will break less often. Some items that broke from what I saw was from poor or cheap manufacturing such as the clutch cable on the RX6010C multiple times and the fuel sending unit and ignition switch on the DK45S failed on both at around the same hour range.

1982 Kubota L305DT with L1720 loader and model 30 Kelly Backhoe, 2nd owner, First owner was a golf course I worked for which purchased it brand new. They worked it hard and it was lucky to have one oil change per year as it aged. Currently has 5559 hrs.

Items that I know of that they replaced, unsure of hours when the failure was,

RPM gauge cable
Ignition switch
Front loader cylinder
Rebuilt starter
Fan belt
Chain that drives front loader hydraulic pump from PTO flange

Items I replaced upon purchase:

All glow plugs per PM
Battery
Positive and negative battery cables
Fan belt
Oil pressure sending unit
Temperature sending unit
Temperature gauge
Welded top link where backhoe attaches
1 loader hydraulic hose blew, replaced others on PM
RPM gauge cable again
Rebuilt front axle on both sides bearings and seals
Replaced PTO flange on front of engine that drives loader hydraulic pump, splines stripped
Water pump
All radiator hoses
