Does anyone know if the DK45S can be equiped with a block heater to help with warm up in the winter. I'm sure that many will chime in with you don't need it, it will start, but I have had many diesel engine powered autos, and tractors and do notice a difference with a block heater. The engine doesn't seem to labor as hard when first started. Some manufactures offer this option, or one can be installed aftermarket. Thanks, IH3444

i KNOW i'm not supposed to chime in with 'ya don't need it'..

my dealer recommended against it (much to my dismay); i've owned diesel cars in the past, and they were always trouble with the temps were below zero.

having said that, i took my dealer's advice and didn't have one installed. last year was COLD in NH and the tractor started w/o any problems (one day it started when the mercury was -22).

now that i've mentioned this, the tractor won't start this winter /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yes you can install a block heater in the DK45S
It goes in a soft plug on the driver side in front of the starter.
I do have the block heaters in stock.
