Kioti DK45SE-HST
Monday I'm going to look at a DK45SE HST. The price quote I have is $22500 with a loader. Does this sound like a fair price? Also it has R4 tires on it. I was thinking that R1 maybe a better options for me as I plan on skidding log this winter. But the R4's are rated for heavier loads and I'll also be doing a lot of loader work. I could always put chains on the R4's. I know the R1 vs R4 debate is endless. How about your opinions from those who have had both. Thanks hopefully to a new tractor owner come Monday.

Yes, that is a good price. Yes R1's have more traction in muddy conditions. Yes R4's are better for loader work. Yep, chains on R4's make a huge difference. You are lucky to still find a DK45se HST in stock.

That's almost $3000 less than I paid for mine 2 1/2 years ago, and I thought I got a real bargain as mine was $10K less than the nearest competitor on my shortlist with the implements I bundled in. Is it new or used?

Price sounds fair, as far as tires, I am happy with the R4s on mine, make sure to get the rears loaded.
Before buying my tractor I used my Dads JD with R1s on my property and it left bumpety bumps every where when the the ground was damp at all.
The 10-16.5 R4 fronts also squat less that the skinny front R1s under a heavy loads.

They are a good tractor, don't snooze on the deal, as Koua said, you are lucky to have found one.

I have not seen it yet but I'm told it's new.

You be very lucky to get this deal as my Dealer has been out of DK's for awhile now.

I would be down there today with a "sold" sign to put on that one.

Ditto on all the go get her now posts!
If it's the Tier 3 emissions, vs. the newest Tier 4 package, grab it before someone else does. You won't be sorry, they're great tractors!
Post back results.

Very fair price IMHO.I have had both R4, & R1s.My choice are the R1,s as I live where we get a lot of snow and muddy conditions in the spring and fall.

Sounds like a great deal considering the scarceness of the DK's. We all have our own opinions on the R1's vs. R4's. My previous tractor had R1's, my Kioti has R4's. Overall, I'm glad I went with the R4's but in the greasy clay you sometimes find around here and in snow (I have to use rear chains), I had better traction with my old R1's.
