I'm about 10 hours away from the 50 hour servicing and everything seems to working as it should except the throttle lever. I noticed it being hard to pull down from the begining but I figured it was because the unit was new. However, it is still tough to pull down if it has been pushed all the way up to the slowest idle point. It may have even gotten worse. There are times when I literally cannot pull the lever down without thinking I am going to crack the plastic console. If the the lever is not pushed all the way up it seems to not stick too much. Anyone else have a similar issue? This will have to looked at during the first service.

You will find that there is a friction unit at the bottom of the throttle lever and it will most likely need loosening off. I'm not sure how easy this is to get to on the SE tractors, on the others, it isn't too bad. If you can hold on till your service, get the mechanic to adjust it for you. Probably should have been tidied up at pd check, but maybe it is something else that is wrong with it like a bad cable etc. Best of luck.
Cheers

Thanks, I can hold off until my service. I will probably go in within the next month so it shouldn't be to bad.

I was able to direct a shot of lube at the friction bits that made my throttle lever very sticky on my CK. That's all it needed and it performs very well after 511 hours. See if you can shoot some lube up there and work the lever to get the lube in the tight spot. Light lube like wd40 which shouldn't linger much longer than needed.

Thanks, I will indeed try it. Are the friction plates best accessible form below down by the pedals?

On my CK, as I recall I was able to actually squish and remove the rubber boot where the throttle shaft poked through the dash and then squirt from above. It was rusty in there and the lube broke up the rust and frequent use has kept it smooth. Just don't lube your ignition key tumblers with wd40, bad things happened when I did that.

Point taken, thanks.
