Kioti DK50SE w/ loader and Woods 90x backhoe, Allis Chalmers C with front snowplow
I'm in the process of installing my new Woods BH90X on my Kioti, it has been a bit of a process so far but overall it is going good, I have to say the instructions for the Woods subframe and the hydraulic plumbing are quite good, even someone with very minimal mechanical aptitude should be able to get this mounted no problem. The only complaint I have so far is that Woods has you reuse the six 12mm bolts which hold the tractor frame rails to the loader mount, you remove those rails and replace them with the rails of the subframe and reuse the 12mm bolts, all of which stripped out before I was able to get them to the required 96lbs of torque, these are Kioti bolts, not Woods, but I'd think they could include new quality bolts and save me some trouble. Also I decided to skip removing the rear tires, I didn't want to deal with the heavy things so I left them on, I was able to get the subframe mounted but it wasn't fun, it was difficult to get everything torqued properly as there isn't enough room for the torque wrench with the tires on, so I suggest following the directions and removing the tires. Also it says leave everything loose until the whole subframe is installed then torque it all, this is very important, and don't only leave it loose, leave it extremely loose, I had some bolts barely finger tight and it was enough to throw stuff off, I loosened them all to where the nut was barely started and everything fit together perfectly.

I will hopefully have it all together in a few days, possibly Sunday, we will see.

Good info! Let us know how it finishes up. Did you take pics along the way?

I suppose I'll find out when you send pictures. But does that subframe stay hidden? I'm trying to find out when you pull off the backhoe does the subframe get in the way of the 3pt attachments?

No not at all by the look of it, part of the subframe stays attached to the hoe when it is removed, that is the part that sticks far out the back, all that is on the tractor is a small amount sticking out the rear enough for the hooks which the hoe mounts in and the 2 large mounting bolts, I will have to get a pick up of what it looks like with the hoe off, I have the subframe mounted on the tractor now, all that's left is plumbing in the one hydraulic line which is simple, I may have it complete tomorrow after work or else wednesday at the latest I assume.

Well I got the hoe mounted Wednesday night, and went to put the bucket on and realized it doesn't fit, they seemed to have shipped me the bucket for a smaller hoe, maybe a 80x or 70x. I called and got it straightened out, new bucket should be here Monday or Tuesday, I'm not a happy camper but at least the dealer is straightening it out quickly, though overnight shipping would have been nice.

I had the same issues when I assembled and installed my Woods backhoe. Although I received the correct bucket, the hydraulic hoses for the power beyond valve to the hoe were too short, some of the holes were drilled to small on parts, and bolts were too short. I ended up buying what I needed at the hardware store and making the hoses. It was an extra $150. The instructions were ok, except they didn't mention anything about the gussets from the backhoe to sub frame. It took me awhile to figure out what the (2) extra parts were when I was finished with assembly. The backhoe is awesome though.

Really? I didn't have any issues at all with the subframe or hardware, however the hose for the power beyond isn't exactly long, it fits, barely. If it were even an inch longer it would be perfect, I don't know if it is the wrong hose or if they make them that short. I did have to buy 6 bolts to replace the Kioti bolts that bolt the frame to the loader mount, they were junk and stripped out before even getting tight, I don't see why they have you reuse them when they send new bolts for everything else.

I agree about the bolts, I used all new bolts with lock washers and loc-tite 242. The hydraulic hoses that came with my Woods backhoe were in (2) lengths and were supposed to be coupled together to make one hose..... and were still to short by about an inch. The local tractor dealer made new hoses to the lengths I wanted for $75.00. Looking back, it was a much better idea to get the correct length hoses instead of using (2) hoses and stretching them to fit. It's just frustrating not to get the correct length hoses with the backhoe. I also tie-wrapped some foam pipe insulation around the hydraulic hoses near the three point hitch arms, because of the tight area and movement. I was concerened about the hoses chafing / rubbing on the arms, since it was a pain in the butt to connect them to the power beyond valve due to the location on my tractor. Once your done installing it, you'll enjoy the backhoe.

I think I will wish I went with loctite, I considered it but in the end just followed the directions, when things start to loosen up I will start loctiting I think. Also some of the torque specs didn't seem like enough like the bolts that hold the rear of the subframe on only call for 85 lbs, that seems like they are hardly even tight.
