DK5310se
I have about 50 hours on a new DK5310SE

I tell everyone at all I'm doing is moving dirt from one side of my property to another.....but it fun too me.

Got this strange issue with throttle lineage. When shut down tractor, I always reduce the throttle to the minimum for 1 minute.

When I now start the tractor......, does not matter hot or cold. The throttle does not respond. I move the throttle lever up and down several times...nothing

Sometime if I curl the bucket the lever with then respond. More of a annoyance. If i fiddle with it a minute or 2 it starts to respond.

Am I missing something stupids?

Does it have the "linked pedal" function?

I'm not sure, but it could be if it's turned on, it might not react on the maual throttle.

I don't know about your specific tractor but many of the newer Tier IV tractors don't actually have a mechanical throttle linkage. You input information to the computer by throttle position then the computer decides where to position the throttle. Welcome to technology!!!

I did have it installed from the dealer. I think I like the feature. But i turned it on and Off .......and there was no change.

I started to wonder about that being a computer issue. When I first got the tractor. It seemed like if I lowered the throttle all the way waited 30 seconds and turned it off. I would quit seeing this effect. But now fall is here in the northeast, I have started to see the glow plugs turning on. Roughly the problem became more pronounce the colder the temperature. So I was think the engines computer is not ready to work.....lol

just my theory
Don't want to pay the dealer 100 dollars to come and pick it up for a warranty issue just yet.....I'm cheap

It has nothing to do with being cheap. Sometimes it could be just a flip of a switch or a loose contact that somebody may have encountered before.

Use your options before you spend the money.

Since you mentioned a slight increase of the issue with dropping temperatures, aftertreatment comes to mind.
At Kioti's higher HP PX tractors with the Doosan engine in them, they won't take any throttle until some internal temperature parameters are met and the aftertreatment is funktional.
This is just a hint and I don't know if similar procedures apply to your unit.
If yours is the only tractor within a series doing this, then something is wrong.

I would not only rely on informations gathered on the internet. I also would reach out to the dealer. Possibly they can steer you some direction without spending your money.

Mhfarm2010, welcome to the forum! Sorry you're having a problem with your new tractor.

The Kioti linked pedal feature does not override functionality of the hand throttle, so I don't think it has anything to do with your symptoms. I'd definitely discuss this with your dealer on Monday. Maybe it's something as simple as a linkage adjustment in the joystick cables, but in any event it's covered by your warranty.

In my NX, when I move the throttle lever, the engine responds immediately. Doesn't matter what the temp is. I think the throttle is set via a potentiometer. Could be wrong. If that's the case, your throttle is programatically set via the output voltage of the potentiometer as opposed to any direct throttle linkages---there is no cable. You move the throttle lever and it changes the voltage to something the computer interprets as a throttle value. It then adjusts the throttle to match. I believe most modern cars do the same with the gas/fuel pedal. The response should be nearly instantaneous. If it starts working after you fiddle with it for a bit, it could be something is wrong with the internal contacts on the potentiometer, or the electrical contacts going to the potentiometer.

Try this... Before you start the tractor, try moving the throttle lever up and down about 5-10 times and then see if the throttle responds better when you start it.

I've had a similar issue with my DK4710SE as well twice. Its like the computer is protecting the engine from reving up because the engine is cold. It did this a couple times last summer. I ended up with the throttle on full, but engine on idle. What I found worked for me was to pull the throttle back down to idle, foot on the break, and slowing increase throttle to have engine rev up. For sure this throttle is electronic, not mechanical. I think the throttle is basically a variable resistor. So either it's resistance is off or the engine computer is overriding.

Tried cycling the throttle before stated. Works sometimes.......sometimes it does not
