New to forum, and this my first post. My girlfriends dad has a Kioti DK55, and he has noticed that he is losing engine oil, and gaining transmission/hydraulic oil.
There are no external leaks, and the engine doesn't smoke. The exhaust is clean and not blowing oil residue. He has a loader on the front with a bale spear, and a bale spear on the back. This tractor gets used mainly for moving round bales.
He has not pulled the clutch housing drain bolt yet, but the clutch seems to be working fine, so we dont think the oil is travelling through that area. We have been racking our brains and can't think of any way that motor oil could get transferred into the transmission area.
My only thought was that maybe somehow, an engine gear driven hydraulic pump might be sucking motor oil past a seal and mixing it into the hydraulic oil side?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, JP
