DK55 vs Montana 5784

I am posting this in the Montana Forum also.

I have been shopping for a utility FEL tractor all winter. I had kind of settle on a Kioti DK55. I did call a Montana dealer and he shot me a price that was very competive and sent some pics of one on the lot. I haven't looked up close at one yet but I do think it is in the running.
I have some local references for the Kioti as there is 5 dealers within 80 miles. I haven't found anybody who has not liked their Kioti. There are not any Montanas around me to reference though.

I have no experience with either tractor. The specs are similar - Kioti a bit heavier and the Montana a few more hp and lots more cu in engine.(Kioti gets extra hp with turbo.
I do have a bit of experience with the Montana Company - I tried to get a price quote a few months ago by going through their website. I recieved an email within a couple days but never heard from a local dealer as they had said. The good news is I also requested a quote from Wallace on a Kioti and to make the story short - I now own one. I have yet to hear from Montana.
Good luck - its nice having a choice - probably would help if you could get into the seat of each.

I bought mine off of the internet information at the kioti website. Made the deal before I even saw it. I also looked at montana but bought the dk 55. I have had no regrets, as it was more than I expected, and sips fuel.

I am very happy with my 55, what are you looking at for tires? I would reccomend ag tires. I have never run chains and never been stuck in snow cutting wood. The loader is powerful and pretty quick and the machine is very comfy to run.

I'd get the Kioti for the simple reason that Kioti has been around much longer and Montana is the newest of the new tractor brands. With all that is in the works with LS Cable, and the uncertain economy, personally, I would go with the Kioti.
