DK55 wont go forward

Me and a buddy are looking at a Dk55,,runs good, wont go forward,,will go in reverse,,any ideas what it might be or what to check,,thanks

Bad clutch pack. Requires splitting to fix.

I'm not sure how they are setup but I believe that it is a synchronized shuttle,
not a power shuttle it may not have clutch packs. Just gears and a single disk clutch.

The DK55 is a 3+4 gear transmission with synchronizers in the 4 speed and a single disk dry clutch. When you say it wont go forward, is there anyway to confirm if the transmission shift lever is all of the way forward? One of you climb under the tractor and watch the linkage to see if it is moving. Another test is try to push the direction lever forward without depressing the clutch. Push hard and listen for gear noise.

I think you're correct after additional googling. Prior to my post I searched just to make sure, but looks like I read/saw a link for a 40 with hst, not a 55.

It is a shuttle shift,,we're gona go back and look at it again,,it was raining and cold the other day when we were looking,,if the clutch was bad would it move in reverse,,Im thinking linkage or something broke in the tranny

The clutch only turns one direct. It does not care if the transmission is in forward or reverse.

Bent Shuttle Fork or bad Shuttle Synchronizer Hub would be a place to start. Does not sound like a clutch issue from the brief description in your post.
