Hi everyone, I'm in need of a deep subsoiler to break up my hardpack in preparation of fall planting so I've been looking at Heavy duty subsoilers. I briefly looked at the one TSC sells for $164. but I'm sure with my 90HP machine that I'd fold it up quickly. The best price I've found is on a Bison SVH-1 for $440. plus $75 for shipping it weighs 220 lbs and can be seen at this web site http://www.beavervalleysupply.com/sectionf/bisonss.htm
It seems like most of the rest Tufline, Brillion etc run in the $600+ range plus shipping so since my use will be occasional at best I figured I could go with the cheapest hvy duty one I could find which so far appears to be Bison, if you do enough research you'll find that it is made in Mexico but so are many Ford Trucks so I'm not to concerned about quality or a great paint job as much as I am strength its rated for a 45 to 70 HP tractor because its only a single shank but I should be OK I think. I also plan on using it for trenching and burial of water lines and such in one pass.
