Do homeowners buy snowplows to plow their own properties?

I live in the land of lake effect. We get an average of 63" of snow a year. However with lake effect we can get 15 inches in a storm no problem. I just use my bucket to move the snow. Unless we get a huge lake effect event it is not an issue. Those huge events just take longer to clear.
