Do I have old blue or new blue?

Can someone please tell me what NH blue my TC18 is? The dealer is ordering my loader and needs to know what color to have it painted. Please see attachment.

It can be very hard to tell from a picture. I'm sure someone here on TBN can tell you based on the date of mfg what color your beautiful machine is.

See the attached picture to see how hard it is to tell the new blue from the old blue in a picture. The FEL is new blue and the tractor is old blue. It is more distinctive in real life. When I first received the unit the color difference bugged me and seemed very distinctive, but after a couple years it does not seem so radically different. Maybe I've gotten used to it or maybe the sun has faded some of the difference, don't know.

your dealer should be able to tell you what it is with a serial number from the tractor.

Mine was manufactured in 2001 and the part # for the paint is 9613385-DS that is for the spray can. That # is in the owners manual and in the parts book I have for my TC18.

I was told by my dealer that they changed over in 2000, so if your tractor was built before 2000 it's old blue, if it was build after 2000 it's new blue, if it was built in 2000 (like mine), then it depends on what time of the year it was built. Here's a picture of mine, which is old blue:

From the picture, your tractor looks like new blue. I'm a bit confused though, because in your post, FEL questions, you said you could not get the 12LA FEL because your tractor was the older style.

They came out with a new TC18 model in 2003 with a stretched frame & heavier front axle that takes the new 12LA loader.

The previous version of the TC18 was painted 2 different colors.

Thanks Hazmat, I didn't realize the 12LA was that new. So, I vote for "New Blue" on the color of TC18inNY's tractor!

The 12LA came out last year, but for the TC24 only

The 12la fits all tc18,21 and 24s with the longer stretched frames. Sorry to disagree with you. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

No disagreement, I meant that the 12LA was available for the TC24 last year, the TC18 & TC21 didn't get their frames stretched until this year. - Or maybe they got stretched mid last year?
