I just removed the head and pistons on my 60 and made these measurments in the cylinder bores. The horizontal measurment at the top of the cylinder bore was 5.5120, the verticle measurement at the top was 5.5140 The horizontal measurements at the back of the cylinder bore was 5.5025 and the verticle measurement was 5.5040. The factory bore is stated to be 5.4996 - 5.5010

Will standard size rings fit this without boring?

what was the reason for tearing this down? Are cylinder walls scored badly enough to bore?
If so since it is torn apart do it, not that expensive.

Love them lay down cylinders. If you have it torn down and you want a perfect motor now is the time. You could have it bored and sleeved back to the original size or just bore and get the larger pistons.
