I have a JD 3320 with fel and shortly a 448 hoe. I also have forks and other attachments with more on the way. I'm looking around for a trailer to tow the toys on and I need some sound advice. I really feel that I should look at 12k trailers since you can't have too much capacity right. How much more weight can a 10k vs 12k add. I will mostlikly want to put all the attachments on the trailer if I move the tractor. I'm 99.9% sure that a 7k trailer will be overloaded. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I also can't decide on a length. I was thinking 18' but should I go 20'? I have atv's and other stuff I may want to tow. I have an superduty PSD so no worries with the truck towing the toys.

Matt,
I have a 10K Pequea 20 foot trailer that I use to haul my Kubota L3430HTSC + backhoe. I still have pounds to spare. I would definietly get the 20 footer.
Everything is on the trailer, loader, tractor + hoe.

I have a 12,000 at 18 ft, Bri-Mar. I haul a Kubota L 48 TLB, which is bumping 8,000 as I have a home made cab and some other extra's on it. I barely can get on the trailer, At the time, Bri-mar had only the 18 footer, Now, they have a 20. I may swap around as the extra two feet mean a lot.

Go for the longer heavier rated trailer. You can never have too much trailer for hauling stuff if you got something that can pull it.:D

I have a 20 Ft. 10K bumperpull covered with a home built box.

I thought the issue was a 10k does not need a CDL and anything over does. Thats the law in VA/NC.

:D :D I knew I'd get a reply like rolls. Obviously I know that the 10k vs 12k haul wise is 2k. I meant how much more does the 10k weigh dry vs the 12k.
