Do Kubotas\' hold the value??

You be the judge..

Purchased new October 1980 for $6270

Kubota B7100
B219 Loader w/ 48" Bucket
K-348-7 48" Rear Mount Finish Mower

Sold well maintained June 2002 for $6000

Kubota B7100
B219 Loader w/ 48" Bucket

So I took a $270 hit for 22 years of dependable, troublefree service. I love Kubotas' /w3tcompact/icons/love.gif

Re: Do Kubotas\' hold the value??

That's kinda what I ran into when I was shopping for a used 'Bota a couple of years ago, Brian. It was hard to find a used one that was selling for much less than a new one.

Of course, hidden in the equation is the fact that the dollar has not held its value as well as Kubotas.

Brian, I know what you mean! I got a used 87' B8200HST in 93' and had about $7500 into it after repainting. Used it hard, but well maintained untill I sold it last year for $12k./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Paid $13500 for my B2710, and I know I could sell it for alot more now if I wanted to! Both of my Kubotas have been trouble free, other than routine stuff. Got to love em'!!

I to purchased my L345DT new in June 1980. Equipped with the heavy duty kubota loader, Kubota backhoe, 60" Kubota tiller. Package also included boxblade, backblade, post hole digger, gin pole, dirt scoop and pallet forks. Total price including shipping from Seattle to Kodiak, Alaska, was $10,640. Last month while Local New Holland dealer was delivering my new TC29. He saw it, and offered $10,000, on the spot. I told him I think I can get Another Twenty Years out of it.

Russ - I'd like to see a picture of that "345" when you get a chance. My Father just sold his L285 2wd, manual steering, FEL (never figured out which) last year for around $5500 with under 900 hrs. That's what he paid 16 or so years ago. He also sold a '52 Case VAC, took the cash, along with money he had saved, and bought a new L3010.
