I wouldn't call that a cheap bucket. It looks like it was abused. The only way to pop UP the teeth is to angle the bucket sharply to completely down and back drag. Hitting something in that configuration will cause that damage. The Bucket is also a light duty bucket with a thin cutting edge. But even a thick cutting edge (3/4" and up) can break into multiple pieces. My old ford edge was in 8 separate pieces when I cut it out, not counting the prevous weld repairs.
Could be wrong in this case as I don't know about the background, but it looks like that to me.
