Do they make extenders for hydraulic rams

My grapple uses this brand and design of cylinder

Hydraulic Cylinders TC Series

I built my grapple and have come to realize that I have a design flaw. While the cylinder allows the jaws to close completely, do to slop it does not clamp. I Would like to extend the screwed end of the rod by about 1.5" max. Do you think they make an adapter that would do this (seems rather simple but what do I know).

Don't know if there are ready made adapters but I think everage machine shop could make you one. Try McMaster-Carr if they have something that would do.

You can also make one from a nut that fits on the rod. Weld to it two bars of apropriate length and drill hole for the clevis pin.

Why not just add longer post. Extend the mounting post out more.
