Do they may something that I could mount on my FEL that would help me dig a trench? I'm trying to get by without having to use a small backhoe or ditch witch. It wouldn't need to dig very deep or wide...maybe a couple feet deep by 6" wide. Seems like I recall seeing a spade type attachment that you could mount to your FEL bucket. I wonder how well that actually worked. I would use it to help dig trenches for water line and 4" drain pipes.

I don't know how much time you have to get this done, but you might want to look at this:
Homemade trencher for tractor bucket on Kubota BX - YouTube

Another idea is to maybe build one of those, but get a subsoiler on the 3pt to loosen down deeper and keep going over it with the angle iron idea.. You would probably have to get down and clean it out with a shovel, but it could save some time, and not a lot of cost..

I tried a "stump"bucket for trenching, didn't care for it at all and sold it quickly.First of all you can't see what you are doing, second if you are straddling a ditch how do you dump the bucket with out backing all the way out?I also tried it for digging out stumps........about useless.Unlike a backhoe were you can sit in one spot with a stump bucket you have to move with every scoop. It would be fine for transplanting trees or bushes but for trenching not so much.I borrowed a BH for what I had to do.

Excellent point. It would be much easier with an excavator.
