Do they still make a 2015 gear and a 2015 HST? I was at a dealer yesterday and he said they dont make it anymore. But I see it on the web site.
Is that the same size tractor as a 1815 just more HP?
Wish we had a good dealer within a hour drive.
Does anyone know what one of these look like with a woods groundbreaker hoe on it.
I thought the HST had a mid mount PTO this dealer says it has to be added.

Your dealer is clueless.......

Yes Mahindra still makes the 2015 in gear and HST.

It is not the same tractor as the 1815, the 2015 has been around forever and the 1815 is a new redesigned model.

The 2015 works very well and looks good with the Woods BH70 backhoe (make sure it's subframe mount)

The Mid Mount PTO is optional on the Gear Drive and Standard on the HST

I just sold a 2015HST and it was a great tractor with plenty of power, never had a problem in the 2 years and 300 hours I owned it, I just "wanted" (not needed) something bigger.

I don't think you can beat the Mahindra 2015 in this size and HP ( and this coming from a new Kubota owner) :)

We have 11 of the 2015s on our lot.

Please invite this dealer to join tractorbynet.

How is the hdro with these units? I'm not sure what one would go with.

Roadkill,

The HST on these tractors works great, mine had the ML104 loader and I had a 60" rear finish mower and I never had a problem, I also had a subframe mount Wallenstein backhoe and occasionally pulled a 4' box blade.
If you are going to use a loader then in my opinion HST is the only way to go, it also very easy and safe to operate, just push on the pedal to go and let up and it stops, the only time I used the clutch was to engage the PTO or change between high and low and you never had to touch the brakes, my wife used ours all the time, it was very simple to operate.
If you are not going to use a loader or aren't concerned with simplicity then the gear model will save you a bit of money and give you a bit more PTO HP.

Like I stated before I don't think you can beat the 2015 in this size of tractor.

Good luck with your decision!

I see that your 3 closest Mahindra dealers are all brand new to Mahindra this year. I have visited them all in recent weeks and they are all well-intended converts from other brands, some with decades of tractor experience. They all seem like very nice tractor people, but it's going to take a bit of time until they are entirely up to speed on the Mahindra brand. That's just the way it is.

Roadkill,

I have a 2015 gear with a B-70X (curved boom). AWESOME combination, no problems.

Look really close at the 2015. Its really beefy. Everything is made much heavier than it has to be. I love mine.
