Do the CK and DK models have a fuel shutoff on the pump that will allow you to crank over the engine with the starter and not inject fuel from the pump? I know there is a fuel shutoff/air bleed valve at the fuel filter but that would not keep the fuel pump from injecting fuel until the fuel has been consumed from the filter and line.

I have not used my CK over the winter and would like to crank it over to prime the oil system before it starts up. Likely not necessary but makes me feel better to prime the oil after a long winter of not using the tractor.

Thanks

Disconnect the wire leading to the fuel shutoff solenoid.

here you go, on the front of the injection pump. Just pull the electrical connector.

Disconnect the wire leading to the fuel shutoff solenoid.

That will work on the two latest versions of the stop solenoid, which includes most models after 2006. The original stop solenoid version applied a power pulse (via a timer) to the stop solenoid to stop the engine (vs power needed to keep it running, like newer versions). The old/original version mounts the stop solenoid on the right side (vs front) of the engine and that solenoid moves the manual stop lever.

Thanks for the quick responses. Mine is just as you gentlement have said. Forecast is sunny and almost 55F this afternoon. Time to start the tractor. Will remove the wire connection at the fuel shutoff solenoid, crank the engine over a few short intervals to build oil pressure, reconnect the wire, and let the engine start.

Thanks again
