Do you drink bottled water?

No, I drink my well water which has a good bit of sulfer in it. When I have visitors, they usually bring their own bottled water because they can't take my "rotten-egg" smelling water.
I love my water. Now, if I had city water again, I might have to drink bottled water because it doesn't usually have such a strong chlorine smell as the city water.

We started using bottled water for drinking a couple years ago. There is also a place near here that has fiiltered & inspected well water for 25 cents a gallon. We like it because of the cleaner taste, compared with the chlorine-tasting stuff in our municipal water supply.

Buying bottled water isn't necessarily a guarantee of purity. Check this story:

Yes, I have been buying bottled water for several years. Mostly for convinience and not for taste or health. I buy the 24 oz. sports bottles from Sam's. I think it comes out to less than $.25 a bottle. I just grab a few when I am heading out to do some work. Don't have to worry about breaking a glass or bringing it back to get washed or losing a "good" plastic cup. If they fall off the tractor or truck no big deal.

I buy bottled water for the same reason as Birdman. The sport bottles make a convenient to use. But them a Meijer's. $5.00 to $7.00 for 24 - 25 ounce sport bottles.
In the house we use water from reverse osmosis tap.

I also drink some bottled water. Course it goes thru a process to add flavor and other ingredients first! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We have a reverse osmosis system for drinking water.

I by bottled water mainly for convenience as the others have said. When I have my brothers over to help on a project it is easier to take out a bunch of water bottles instead of cups and a pitcher of water. I also have a service deliver the 5 gallon jugs for our cooler, because we do loose power quite a bit even though it is for less than a day usually. One other thing the cooler does is encourages the kids to drink more water as they can get it themselves.
Even though we are suppose to have some of the best drinking water in the world around my area, I still am leary of my well water especially after they had to super-chlorinate it to pass inspection. I've thought about installing a UV light on the well or getting one of those things to put on the tap, but the water cooler seems easier.

Same here. The purity issue is a moot point when your other option is a carbonated, caffinated, sugar charged, artificially flavored soft drink. I usually grab a bottle or two when I'm in the gas station. At home, we have "Britta" filtered water pitchers in every 'fridge.

Me, too. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I guess I'm in the minority, but I've never bought any bottled drinking water. I drank a bottle of Perrier once when I was in the hospital on New Years Eve and couldn't imagine anyone paying money for it.

And we've never had any of those filters for the tap water until we bought our current home in September. The new refrigerator has a charcoal filter for the ice maker and water dispenser, but the water dispenser is rarely used. And the kitchen faucet also has a charcoal filter, and I'm getting in the habit of using it when I get a glass of water to drink, but my wife says she still never thinks to use it when getting the water for the coffee. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif And of course, I can't tell any difference in the taste of the water whether the filter is used or not.

We drink bottled water because we don't trust our well or piping infrastructure. We have had the well tested and it requires a bit more care. Until we rebuild our infrastructure including the house, bottled water it is.

Also great to have a supply on hand for emergency situations.
