If I get a chance to talk to them. Took this picture last year. I would have liked to talk to him about his truck but he was stopped in a long line by the flagman at work zone.

Took the photo through door glass so it really does not do the Dodge justice.

I've been into cars since I was about 10 years old. I've been lucky enough to have owned some nice older cars and some nice newer ones also. Of course this bleeds over to trucks and tractors also. I like just about anything, new, old, any make or model that is clean and well taken car of and I often tell the person how much I like their vehicle.

I also find it strange on what attracts people that aren't really into cars. In the late 80's I restored a 70 Challenger convertible. It took me about 3 years to complete and was a good looking car when it was done. I currently own a 2010 Dodge Challenger. I can't tell you why but I get 5 times the compliments on the 2010 Challenger then I did on the 70. Maybe it was color, the over all look?? People are just naturally attracted to certain vehicles but I can't tell you why.

I think the Challenger is the best looking and most true to the original of the big 3. You must be excited about the Hellcat. What a beast.

When a contractor pulls up in a 50k diesel pickup with 20" wheels you might as well grab your ankles because you are going to be making his next truck payment(s) whether you like it or not if you work with him.

That's true, but he's gotta have something to haul his equipment with (tele-handler, skid steer, etc.). I drive a diesel pickup with 20" wheels and leather seats so I don't fault others that make a decent living working their tails off and buying nice things. I don't have to work out in the heat and the cold like he does, so I've got that going for me!

Got that right. Mustang is not terrible but the Challenger is just tough.

I'm beyond excited about the Hellcat. The cost is lower than I expected, starts out at $60,000. I've seen several Youtubes on the Hellcat and it looks and sounds great plus it will run low 11 second 1/4 mile times on street tires. Its probably a car I could afford but won't buy because I'd rather retire early than drive a $60,000 car.

I can't wait to see what the mags like Car and Driver and Motor Trend have to say about it. They will probably trash it in some manner. I just read an article about the new Z28 compared to an Aston Martin, a Viper TA and a Nissan GTR. At the end of the article they complained how people would say the Camaro was overpriced. I thought that was pretty funny when the Camaro cost about $70,000 and the other cars all cost over $100,000.

The one car I wish I had kept was a '70 Mach 1 with the 351 4V Cleveland....I recall street racing against Challengers....and to be honest it baffles me why you would get so many more compliments on the newer model....the '70 ragtop you restored was a really original car....there are so many new Challengers on the road I don't really notice them...but a '70 would stand out. What engine did it have? Was it a T/A? Hey....that is NOT what you guys think it means....

My 70 was not an RT but was a 383 4 barrel. It was a convertible.
