Just a FYI for those of you with 2007.5 and up Rams
I was recently pulling my GN and stopped to get some food. A good Samaritan pointed out that my right turn signal was out on my trailer. Sure enough it was. Got home and checked the connections, and then swapped the LED to the other side and it worked. Hmm, no power to the right side. Then I noticed the LED light bar that I have on the truck that is under the tailgate, the right side was out. This plugs into the factory 4 prong. So I figure fuse issue. Looked in the manual and don't see anything, so I googled it and sure enough Dodge went to a Total Integrated Power Module in 2007.5. This thing rebuilt is $400 or $800 for new. Wow!
Called dealer and for $100 they would diagnose it.
No error light was on, but I have a EFI Live tuner as I did the emissions delete. I used that to check for error codes, found none, but decided to clear any codes. After that my lights started working. Very odd but I am happy to know I can do that.
It seems the TIPM can sense overloads or other issues on the power circuits and will shut down the circuit to prevent damage.

Got a simular problem with my 2011 F150. Dome lights quit working with the door switch and the manual switch, but they work just fine with the dimmer control. Dealer diagnosed a "power module" as the problem and wanted $1,200 to replace it. Screw it. These new vehicles are getting too fancy for their own good.

I have a 07.5 also, no problems with turn or headlights yet but the cargo light has never worked (bought it used). Narrowed it down to the module but haven't had time to take it out, hopefully my old neighbor can fix it for me.
He's an electrical engineer and fixes electronics when he's bored at work which is apparently often.

The guys on the diesel boards were finding this out years ago, on the TIPM if you have a short it will kick out and need to be reset, after so many resets it needs to be replaced. The solution that some of them used was placing fuses or breakers inline to the trailer wiring to protect the TIPM, I think my Dodge is old enough that it still uses relays on the trailer circuits.

Here is one of the threads.
Is dealer only one that can reset the TIPM for trailer R.T. ?

Dodge went to a Total Integrated Power Module in 2007.5.

Beginning with MY2013, they dropped the TPIM and went to a BCM with the Gen IV electrical architecture. The BCM powers the trailer lighting through fused circuits controlled by relays.
