Does a GC2300 have a float feature on the 3 pt?

It is a 2005 model. I bought it used and don't have the manual. I have tried to search, but nothing. I am trying to finish up the driveway, and read all of the threads on bb use. One of the threads talked about using the 3 pt in the float position. I have it on the FEL, but can't find it on the 3 pt. Actually, I just found out about the float on the FEL over the weekend reading a ton of threads. I have had the tractor for 2 years and had no idea. Thanks!

Most all 3pt will float when in the down position. They don't have down pressure so the weight of an implement is what holds it down.

Most all 3pt will float when in the down position. They don't have down pressure so the weight of an implement is what holds it down.

Is it just like the FEL? You can see the bucket moving up and down. Seams like the BB just stays in the down position.

Right, a box blade weighs a good amount so it will take some tough dirt to get it moving, you would notice more on a rake or something light. I guess I'm just trying to say it'll float down as far as the density of the soil will let it.

Speaking of the 3 point system, I just replaced the loader valve on my GC2300 and have now discovered that my 3 point hitch isn't working. Just a coincidence? I thought the 3 point hitch was gear operated but apparently it isn't. The original loader valve started leaking and the dealer wanted $925 to replace it. I bought a valve from Northern Tool for $200 and replaced it myself. While the FEL now works great, the 3 point hitch has stopped.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the valve you bought does not have power beyond or hooked up wrong. It is needed to run the 3 pt. since it has only one pump line for all the hyds. (FEL, BH, 3 PT.)

Well, you can disregard my previous question. After careful examination of the hose routing configuration, it was discovered that "my wife" swapped one of the hoses. After correcting her mistake, everything works fine now. (hey, you didn't expect me to take the blame myself did you? lol)

Okay, I'm back with the 3 point issue. It works fine without a load. With a load, it won't budge.

I recently replaced the FEL valve on my GC2300 and now the 3 point hitch doesn't have any power. With high enough RPM it will raise, but not with a load. The FEL operates perfectly and with the hose configuration, it will either work or it won't.

The loader is a MF2350 and the replacement valve is made by Brand Hydraulics. It is a monoblock loader valve with regeneration and is a 2-spool loader valve rated for 10 GPM and 4000 PSI, with adjustable relief preset at 2000 PSI. Spool actions are regeneration with spring-centering and 4th position float.
