Anyone have pics of a tc26 and tc29 side by side? Or better yet the dx26 and dx29. How much of a size difference is there between the two? What about rear tire sizes/height?

Sorry for all the questions? But the house and land I just bought is covered in trees and need to try and figure out what size of tractor is going to FIT the property correctly.

Is the 29 the same size frame and tire size as the 40 and 45?

Thanks I have seen the 40 and 45 in person, but not a 29 or 26. Thanks

TC 29 is a class II frame; TC 40 is a Class III frame. I think the TC26 and TC29 are same frame size.

I believed that dqdave was correct about frame size, but when I look at my glossy brochure the lengths are about the same, but the wheelbase is 57.5" for the "26" and 63.0" for the "29". The "26" weighs 1599#'s and the "29" weighs in at
2474#'s. The "26" is also ~6" shorter and ~10" less wide. It appears that they take the same size tires. Jay

I know they take a different loader size. But trying to see how big of a difference there is between the two.

jbrumberg, How tall are your rear tires (inches)?...nevermind I see you have the r1's. Anyone with industrial tire on a 26 and 29 or 31 tell me how tall the tires are?

Thanks,

Ps can anyone tell me when looking at brochures, what the tread measurement is for sure. I think I might know but want to be sure.
Thanks again

The 26 is a Class I. They are extremely unfriendly to service as compared to the Class II's and III's.

Got to try a TC26 this pase weekend (at a dealer). Was nice , but had an aerator or something heavy with big spikes on it. Made the frontend very light. Hit a little bump and front end would comeoff the ground. Also noticed the 3pt implement was in full height position, but barely cleared the ground. I also dont like just 2 ranges, but think this size would fit well on the property. I got to try a 1510 tractor also, really liked that and th epower also. They had a tc2220, but it was at the local fair, so I will get to see it this week when I show up to the fair for the diesel truck pulls.

I am very confused as to NH's tractor designation system, but I think my "29" is pretty similar to the 1510. I have had no real problems with my "29". Jay :)

PS: Good luck on your tractor research and aquisition. Keep us posted.

Your tractor would equate to the 2210. The 1510 is the economy version. Both 29/30 hp though

26 will be the size of a large rideing lawnmower at the big box store.

my TC33 has about a 48" tire on the rear. IF i said i thought i bought to much of tractor for my little 5 acers, id be dead wrong. Perfect size for me. Ya its a bit heavy when trying to mow the front yard when its wet, but then there are times when i want all the weight on it i can get and still dont have enough!

IMHO the 26 series (or bx series) is really only going to serve the suburban guy with an already tame yard. Its going to come up short in just about every catagory for doing any "Real" work. (now the sCUT guys will be on me like white on rice...)
