Kubota L3800 HST 4x4
I just bought a L3800 and was wandering what the laws were on tractors on the roads in South Carolina?

Hi Yoitslo2 You should be able to go on line and Google it. I have done it on questions I had on trailering tractors and on setbelt laws or just about anything you need to know.

You will need to check your individual state statutes; Missouri allows tractors on most roadway while engaged in agricultural activities or going to and from a repair shop, but there are so many tractors on the roads here that no one really bothers to check.

According to the link posted, the best I can tell you need the following

1 headlight, which is NOT required for day use but still must be visable at all times from a distance no less than 61 ft.

1 red tail light that is NOT required for day use and must be visable at all times from a distance no less than 152ft

Flashers, turnsignals, and an SMV sign are NOT required.

White rear facing lights are NOT permited

And if you are towing an implement or machinery, it needs taillights, flashers, or reflectors even if they are visable on the tractor.

This is the nearest I can tell.

But for safteys sake, have headlights on regardless, have flashers on regardless, and have a SMV sign clearly displayed.

I thought that's all y'all south of the border ;-) Just kidding, there's a lot farms in SC, I would think they're pretty casual about tractors on the roads. Around here it's got more to do with other drivers tolerance of tractors, everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere and take unbelievable chances when passing tractors on the road. My wife almost got hit twice this past year.
