Today I am attempting to replace the inner tubes on the rear tires on Mahindra 2810. Unfortunately, both stem placements on on the inward side of the rims, causing inflation to be not impossible, but I am thinking ahead in case I want to load my rear tires in the future. To do so would be a royal pain in the butt, trying to load fluid in that manner. Does it matter if I were to replace the rims on backward as compared to how I took them off? The outer side of rim facing inward?

It will likely affect overall width of the wheels, so make sure you're gaining (for stability) and not losing, or that the new width is OK.

Also, depending on the tire type you'd need to swap wheels/tires side to side instead of flip them on the same side. If the tread is directional then you need to maintain the same direction of rotation. If you're taking the tire completely off the rim to replace your tubes then you can flip the tire on the rim of course. If not, then switch sides before putting wheels back on the tractor.

Need a photo of the tire to be sure, but they could be adjustable and depending on the configuration you have, yes you can changing the width (how far apart they are) and where the valve is located.

Like others have said, the wheel offset may not be symmetrical. Also think about what you use the tractor for/where you park it- a valve stem on the outside of the rim will be a little more susceptible to climbing kids/curious animals stepping on it/chewing on it.

On my larger Mahindra, you can swap the wheels left-to-right and gain a few inches in width, at the expense of (as you have now) more difficult access to the valve stems. Of course, your valve stems are "protected", I snagged one on a log last week and lost my air!

My Fords have about 6 wheel positions in the service manual that are used to position your wheels at a given distance....mainly for fitting row crop applications so that the tires run between the plants. Running R1s (bar lugs) you have to keep the tread in the correct direction for traction. To do that when you turn your tire/wheel assy around to select one of the available dimensions, the tread may wind up pointing the wrong direction. Solution is to move the tires to the opposite side and flip them back to the right direction.

The rears on my 4610 SU Ford were switched to facilitate the addition of the factory ROPS. The rear rims were offset 4" on one side and 10" to the other side. My effective rear width increased 12" when switched. I would have preferred to keep the wheels at the narrow position but that was not possible with the ROPS. Our old D17 Allis Chalmers had spin out rims. Very nice feature.

The spacing chart posted by Wagtail is what I have available on my tractor. My fronts & rears are in the seventh or 72" configuration. Because my tractor is somewhat narrower than the tractor the spacing chart is designed for - the seventh position gives 65" center to center or 80" outside to outside on my tractor.
