Does JD send out hats to buyers of lawn tractors?

A friend just bought an X360, and is wondering if he will see a JD hat come in the mail.

I had a friend who bought one of the 1k Home Depot Deeres and he got a nice Embroidered JD "Owners Edition" hat in the mail...He's not a hat guy so he gave it to me....
Me, I paid 30k for a Deere and didnt get a hat in the mail, I got a cheap "Screen printed" Dealer hat...not even a "Thanks for buying a Deere" letter like I got when when I bought my GMC Sierra 9 years ago or the GMC Acadia 2 months ago...

No Problem...I got a really nice Embroidered CaseIH hat when I bought my snowblower last year...so I wear that...

JD sent me an "Owners Edition" hat shortly after I purchased the X485 about 5 yrs ago. No hat when I purchased the 3720 and the 4320 but it's not a big deal to me. JD did send me a survey along with a check for $20 (to complete survey) about a year after I bought the X485. Both the hat and survey bucks were a nice surprise and the X485 was far less money than either of the other two tractors.

I bought a 2305 3 years ago and got a tube of JD multi-purpose grease.

Man, I feel like I made out like a bandit! My salesman at the dealership really took care of me. When I bought my 4520 he gave me two JD dealer hats, two pairs of embroidered JD leather work gloves, a JD sweatshirt, and a JD T-shirt. Then a few weeks later I received the JD "owners edition" hat in the mail.

No hat when I bought my 185 20 years ago.

Got a cheap had from the selling dealer that just had the dealer name on it when I bought my 2007 2520 (and had to work on him to get that one). Also got a coupon from Deere Corporate for a free hat from this purchase (nice, emboroidered green hat).

When I bought my 46 backhoe (from a different dealer than the original 2520 dealer...) he brought me back to his hat rack and offered me any hat I wanted for "free".

Love my NEW dealer....

I have always received upon pick up the choice of any hat the dealer had and if the item was delivered they give out a nice JD dealer embroidered hat. I have received at least two "JD owners" hats in the mail over the years. Not sure if that is dealer or company generated.

I've heard rumours of "owners edition" hats being sent direct from JD. Spent $30K and no hat from JD, or hat / grease from the dealer either.

Bought a X540 in May and the dealer gave me 4 hats and JD sent me one in the mail.
