Does the BX25-1 come with SUDT2?

Getting ready for my 50 hour service. I get some hst whine, so I thought I would change to SUDT2 if it doesn't already have it. Haven't decided between kubota oil and filter or wix and ROTELLA T, any thoughts?

I thought the manual states Sudt2 so guessing it comes with it. Thats what i use.
I have always used Rotella T 15w40 in my Dodge diesel for 9+ years and counting so I use it for the Bx. I just switched form the 15w40 to the syn 5w40 since the Bx is also used for snow removal, cold weather. Extra cost was minimal. I do use the Kubota filter though, made in japan stamp which I'm fine with. Engine oil and filter gets changed 1 a year at about 80 hours.

No need to change hyd fluid at 50 hours. Only need to change oil, oil filter and hyd fluid filter according to owners manual. I've owned 20 Kubotas and have always followed the owners manual and not the guy from the 60s, Oh, I'm from the 60s when first started driving

Anyway save your money and follow the owners manual. I've also always used the oil (fluids) from the local Kubota dealer and they all have Kubota stamped on them. Not saying I may not change to a different brand engine oil one day but haven't so far. SUDT2 is the SUDT fluid Kubota has been selling for the last few years but if SUDT only was all that your dealer had from old stock it will work. SUDT2 has a bit more synthetic "stuff" is the word on the street or here on this forum.
I personally would not use any other oil filter other than the one stamped Kubota on it for a couple of reasons. One being the other brand may not be the right filter which you may not discover until you have the engine oil emptied and old filter off and then is a bad time to find out the filter isn't right. . :2cents:

The only reason I was going to replace the hyd fluid is for the WHINE. If it came from the factory with SUDT2, then it wouldn't help. I also have a BX2200 that I bought new in 2002, I use Kubota fuel filters, Mobile 1 5w40 turbo diesel truck full syn, and Wix oil filter and hyd filter, no issues. I think I will go with Kubota oil and filters for now and switch to Mobile 1 and Wix filters at some point. Just wanted to decrease the whine if I could. My BX 2200 is in great shape and I will be selling it in the spring, any idea what I might expect out of it? no fel, 54 in deck, ag tires in good shape no plugs, 1200 hours. Mowing, I can tell the BX25 has a little bit more power than the 2200, not a lot, the bx25 has a 60 in deck.

I am not new to diesels. I have about 6 or 7 diesels Duramax, tractors of every color, and a 2002 VW jetta TDI with 469,000 miles that I do most all the work on. been to dealer 1 time for a recall. I don't own a gas vehicle. I only buy gas for my weed eater and Polaris Ranger 900.

"Don't you just love the smell of Diesel in the morning? Not really" You learn to love it when you live in a SEA Hut where you soak the floor panels in diesel to keep the termites from eating it up and be able to sweep sand off that rough plywood. To the question by the OP:

I switched to SUDT equivalent for my BX, no change in the whine I could detect. Just had some HST work done at the dealer 1100 hrs later (not related to whine or other symptoms) and they installed SUDT-2, again no detected change in the whine factor.

I happen to be one of those that thinks OEM products relabeled by the supplier are not different from that suppliers standard products. I get two answers on SUDT-2 whether it is part synthetic or 100% synthetic. Kubota's blender/labeler is Valvoline but they will not discuss the product or if one of their standard items is the same. JD has a 100% synthetic HST fluid that Warren Oil labels for them and also sells the same product under a NAPA ID. I also use WIX/NAPA filters.

Everybody has to make up their own mind on these things.

My experience is that my current BX25D-1 has more whine than my other BXs and HST Bs. Just a part of it, I guess along with the other issues I don't appreciate as much as some others do.
Was at Barlows yesterday discussing....... well, may soon not have ANY issues with the BX25D-1.

My 2003 BX2200 came with SUDT. I switched to SUDT-2 and have notices smoother operation and a little quieter. Eventually SUDT will no longer be available.
