Cub cadet 7260
Hi I'm brand new to the sight. I've heard great thing about it. I'm very worried about my cub cadet 7260 tractor. I was at the dealer for another problem and the dealer told me there in an inherent problem with this tractor. That it was never designed to accept a front loader, that is the engine to transition joint isn't strong enough to handle the torque and stresses of a front end loader. He told me most of these 7260's with a loader, the engine blocks eventually crack and break. I think mine may already be cracked. The area is wet with oil and looks what may be a crack. But it still runs fine and haven't broke in half yet. But now I'm afraid to use the loader and wondering if there is a fix? Or if I should sell it while I can. Mabey this problem has already been discussed. If so I apologize. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 7235 and the FEL frame does go into the engine block. My friend has a Mahindra and it is designed the same way. Many tractors are built this way.

I am fortunate that I have a bulldozer also so my CC is just for scooping and pulling. I can post some pics when I am back with it.

OMG

I bought my 7260 new in 2000. Also bought the Great Bend loader and I beat this thing soOoOoOooo badly doing everything imaginable.
Works fine just like the day I bought it.

I never heard this before. I have nothing but good things to say about this machine.

Your tractor was built by Mitsubishi and is practically identical to my Mitsubishi built Mahindra. These tractors when equipped with loaders require checking and torquing of the frame bolts. Loose bolts are the only reason the problem occurs.
