I'm in need of what is apparently a "Special" PTO shaft/clutch combo.
What I'm in need of is a PTO Shaft with an integral Yoke type clutch like this:
pto17a.jpg

The clutch end needs to be 1 3/8" with a Keyway ....obviously on the tractor end it needs to be a 1 3/8" 6-Spline QA.

Because this is for a "Ground Engagement" device, I'd like a clutch if possible...but if I cant find what I need I think I'll just have no choice but to go with a shear pin setup... I've searched every page on the internet for the past 2 months to no avail....

Anybody have any ideas?

G'day if you check out the BareCo site you will find they have a huge range of different shafts/clutches/adapter couplings i would be surprised if they did not have what you want if not you may have to get an adaptor and get it machined to suit good luck :)

Jon,
Thanks for the heads up, I spent a half an hour pouring thru the Bare-Co website and couldnt find what I was looking for...that pic I posted is actually from the BareCo site...
Last option was having one machined...but before I do that I may just say to heck with it and go with a shear pin instead.

Another option would be to get a PTO shaft that fits the implement and get the slip clutch that attaches to tractor PTO you could always use it for other attachments.

My local TSC has had these off and on. They also have the separate slip clutch. However, I needed to buy a new prop shaft for it, because the extra 12" of the clutch requires a shorter connector.

I also saw these at TSC, but Woods uses the same setup if you don't have a TSC nearby. Hope this helps.

I'm literally a mile away from our new TSC...Its been open for a few weeks, but the official grand opening is this weekend...10% off everything in the store.
Only issue with putting the TSC Clutch/Shaft on the tractor side is its not a Quick-Disconnect, its the 2 bolt "Pinch" type...

Check with the local dealer that has a reputation for having stuff. A dealer with a PTO shaft selection should be able to take care of you. I've seen all kinds of add on slip clutches that fit various yokes. With a little research you should be able to make it work.

Hey Dave,

My S106 Woods Ditch Bank mower has one that is right before the mower, I know they are pricey but it might be what you are looking for, it does have the quick connect on the tractor end.
